We love Italian food and spend a lot of time at Walk Disney World, so trying Tony’s Town Square table-service restaurant was a no-brainer! Here is our honest review to help you plan your Disney vacation.
Italian Restaurant at Walt Disney World
Calling all pasta lovers!
Looking for a unique, family-friendly table service restaurant at the Magic Kingdom? Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom is a family-friendly Italian restaurant on Main Street U.S.A.
Whether you are on the Disney Dining Plan on not, Tony’s is a nice choice for a relaxing sit-down meal. They offer good food, great service, and reservations that are relatively easy to score.
My son and I enjoyed lunch at Tony’s on our recent visit to Walt Disney World. I had read past reviews and they were mixed at best, but since we are huge pasta lovers, we decided to give the restaurant a go.
I’m glad we did! The food was fine. That’s not to say it was exceptionally great or disappointingly terrible. It was fine. I mean, it’s pretty hard to screw up pasta! Some people said the food was very salty and the sauces not flavorful, but we did not find that to be the case. We definitely enjoyed our meal!
More than the food though, what sets Tony’s Town Square Restaurant apart is its atmosphere and story. It is designed to look like a turn-of-the-century Italian trattoria, with whitewashed balustrades, French doors and expansive front porch.
Inside the restaurant, you’ll find some definite references to the 1955 animated classic, Lady and the Tramp. There is artwork on the walls, and a fountain featuring the iconic Disney couple, as the restaurant dining room’s centerpiece.
In the lobby, Disney’s 1955 animated classic, Lady and the Tramp, plays in the background while you’re waiting to be seated at your table.
If the weather is nice, request a table of the porch. It’s a nice spot to take in the hustle and bustle of Main Street, and maybe even catch a parade going by.
What to Order at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
One thing we really loved about dining at Tony’s is that they include bread service with the meal. This is significant because – if you are not on the Disney Dining Plan – appetizers are pricey. The focaccia bread was warm and soft, and came with a plate of olive oil for dipping.
If you do have the Dining Plan (or just want to spring for an appetizer), the Fried Mozzarella is highly recommended. You can also order a side salad – either Caprese, Caesar, or a Garden Salad.
For our entrees, my son had the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and I stuck with the classic Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both were good, though again, not mind-blowingly exceptional. And no, we did not share a strand of spaghetti a la Lady and the Tramp, although we really did see a couple doing this for a photo opp!
► Travel Insight
Instead of everyone ordering their own entrée, split a Garden Salad and one entrée between two people. The salad is hearty and includes mixed greens, balsamic dressing, marinated artichokes, tomato, and carrots. Between the salad and the bread and one plate of pasta, you’ll be stuffed!
Other popular menu options include a Scampi Pasta, made with linguini tossed with shrimp, mussels, spinach, tomatoes, and onions in an herb butter sauce, Roman-style Steak with broccolini and potatoes, Chicken Parmigiana, and Tony’s Pizza Pie. The menu is the same for lunch and dinner, and entree prices range from $24 to $34.
The kids menu is great because it is a Create-Your-Own-Entrée situation, allowing kids to mix and match their favorite meals and side dishes.
Of course, no Italian meal (even at Walt Disney World!) is complete without a glass of vino, and Tony’s offers a complete wine list.

Final Thoughts: Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at WDW
With all the other options for Italian food at Walt Disney World, including Via Napoli in Epcot’s World Showcase Italy Pavilion, Mama Melrose at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the many other restaurants at various Disney World resort hotels, Disney Springs and Disney’s BoardWalk, Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is a solid choice. But TBH certainly not a meal worth going too far out of your way to try!
There are many more spots at the Magic Kingdom park, including counter service restaurants, that will give you a better bang for your buck. But if you are dying for some pizza or pasta, or just want to enjoy a leisurely meal with air conditioning, you can’t go wrong with Tony’s.
