If you’re planning a getaway to Lake Havasu City, one thing you might not expect is just how good the food scene is. While this destination is best known for its boating, beaches, and the iconic London Bridge, it also offers a surprisingly diverse lineup of restaurants – from waterfront cafés and laid-back breweries to elevated dining experiences perfect for a night out.
I recently spent a week exploring Lake Havasu and one of the biggest surprises was how many great restaurants there were to try. While there are plenty of fast food and chain restaurants around if you are not feeling adventurous, there are many more I highly recommend. We stayed at London Bridge Resort, could have easily eaten somewhere different every day!
Whether you’re fueling up before a day on the water, grabbing a casual bite with family, or planning a memorable dinner, these are some of the best restaurants in Lake Havasu City to add to your itinerary.
Where to Eat in Lake Havasu City
1. Martini Bay
Located inside the London Bridge Resort, Martini Bay delivers a more upscale dining experience with a fun, modern twist. The space feels polished yet approachable, making it a great choice when you want something a little more elevated without feeling overly formal.
The restaurant specialized in steaks and seafood. I had the Wild Caught Salmon; the Chilean Seabass looked amazing too!
The restaurant is also known for its Pub Appetizers, which are offered at half price during happy hour. We were able to order a bunch and share at our table. The Coconut Shrimp, Arancini de Riso, and Blueberry Flat Bread were stand-out favorites!
True to its name, the restaurant specializes in creative martinis – including indulgent dessert martinis – but the food menu stands on its own as well, with fresh, seasonal ingredients and thoughtfully prepared dishes. It’s especially popular for date nights, celebrations, or a stylish evening out.
That said, it is also very family-friendly. They have an extensive kids’ menu and there were plenty of families enjoying the restaurant the night we were there.
2. Makai Café
For a scenic start to your day, Makai Café is hard to beat. Overlooking the famous London Bridge, this waterfront café offers relaxed, open-air dining with some of the best views in town.
It’s the kind of place where you can linger a little longer, soaking in the views before heading out on the lake. They are only open until 2 p.m. daily, so breakfast and lunch are the only things they serve, and they do it right! Popular choices at Makai Café include eggs, breakfast burritos, and crepes, alongside wraps, sandwiches, and salads for lunch.
On a recommendation I tried the Banana Nut French Toast, which was delicious if a bit on the sweet side. The plate also came with eggs and a choice of ham, bacon, or fresh fruit.
3. Mudshark Brewery
A staple in the local dining scene, Mudshark Brewery is known for its easygoing atmosphere and strong lineup of house-brewed beers. It’s also gained attention for its sustainability efforts, including recognition as the #1 solar powered brewery in America.
The spacious interior and outdoor seating make it a great group-friendly spot. You order at the counter and then they will deliver the food to your table.
We ordered a couple of different pizzas and salads to share, and everything was delicious! We loved the BBQ Chicken Pizza, as well as the very unique Billy the Goat Pizza with garlic cream sauce, bacon, figs, caramelized onion, goat cheese and arugula on top.
4. The Chair
Set in the English Village near the water, The Chair captures that classic Lake Havasu vibe—casual, social, and just a little bit beachy. With views of the channel and the London Bridge nearby, it’s a great place to relax.
The menu features a mix of island-inspired dishes like poké bowls and tacos, along with burgers, sandwiches, and shareable plates. Add in island-inspired cocktails, and it’s an easy choice for a laid-back lunch or sunset dinner.
5. Siddhartha’s Garden
A true hidden gem in Lake Havasu, Siddhartha’s Garden offers a peaceful escape from the typical restaurant scene. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but its location makes it all the more special!
Named after Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha), the café reflects a philosophy centered on mindfulness, wellness, and balance.
One of the restaurant’s standout features is the charming outdoor garden seating area, where you can dine surrounded by greenery, shade, and a calm, tucked-away atmosphere that feels worlds away from the busy waterfront area.
We were there for lunch on a very hot day, so opted to sit inside. But the garden is an inviting spot in the morning or early evening.
The menu focuses on wholesome, feel-good food – think Buddha bowls, fresh wraps, natural soups, cold-pressed juices, and smoothies. Whether you’re looking for a healthy reset or just a quieter place to relax, Siddhartha’s Garden is a must-visit.
6. The Bunker Bar
For one of the most unique dining experiences near Lake Havasu City, The Bunker Bar is worth the short drive out of town. Located just north of the city in the Havasu Heights area, this off-road, desert destination feels more like an experience than a typical restaurant.
Set in the middle of the desert, The Bunker is a completely outdoor, solar-powered bar and grill with a laid-back, anything-goes atmosphere. It’s especially popular with the off-roading crowd, but anyone can make the trip out to enjoy the open-air setting, live music, and casual, social vibe. We were able to stop by and check it out during our off-road guided tour excursion in a high-performance side-by-side UTV with Wet Monkey Powersport Rentals.
The Bunker Bar’s menu is classic comfort food – think burgers, tacos, sandwiches, and shareable appetizers – paired with cold beers, cocktails, and even fun extras like ice cream. Food is served throughout the day, making it easy to stop by for lunch while exploring the surrounding desert.
Live music is a big part of the experience here, and there’s plenty of space to spread out, relax, and take in the desert scenery. There are even lawn games and a kids play area.
It’s also worth noting that The Bunker operates seasonally (generally fall through spring), which adds to its “hidden gem” appeal. If you’re looking to mix things up beyond the lake and want a truly local, off-the-beaten-path spot, The Bunker Bar delivers a memorable slice of Lake Havasu’s desert culture.
7. Foundry Plates & Spirits
The Foundry blends a modern, industrial-inspired setting with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a locally owned favorite known for its creative menu, spacious bar, and comfortable indoor-outdoor dining options.
For something a little different, “Sippin’ with the Somm” is a casual wine experience featuring a curated flight of four wines and easy conversation in the bar with local sommelier Cristi Newport. We tried this experience and it was one of the highlights of our trip!
Whether you stop in for drinks or a full meal, it’s a great spot to unwind in the evening.
8. Oxido
Oxido brings a refined and contemporary edge to the Lake Havasu dining scene. The ambiance is stylish and upscale without being pretentious, making it a standout for special occasions or a memorable night out.
The menu highlights Latin-inspired flavors with a modern twist, featuring handmade heirloom corn tortillas, fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, and beautifully plated dishes.
I ordered the Achiote Hanger Steak with matchstick potatoes and black garlic chimichurri and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was so tender. But my favorite part of the meal was the order of Tres Salsas and Heirloom Corn Tostadas. They also have some unexpected pasta dishes on the menu, like Heirloom Corn Gnoche and Spaghettini de Elote.
9. Kokomo Beach Club
If you’re looking for energy and atmosphere, Kokomo Beach Club delivers. Located at London Bridge Resort, this lively spot is known for its upbeat vibe, especially in the evenings.
The menu is approachable and crowd-pleasing, with everything from pizza and pasta to salads and sandwiches. It’s the kind of place where you can grab dinner, sip a cocktail, and enjoy the social scene all in one place.
10. The Red Onion
A longtime local favorite, The Red Onion is a go-to for classic, hearty breakfast and lunch dishes. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming.
The menu is packed with comfort food favorites – fluffy pancakes, thick-cut French toast, omelets, and eggs Benedict – along with savory options like chicken fried steak and huevos rancheros. Portions are generous, making it a great value and a satisfying start to your day.
11. Roxy’s Beach Bar & Café
Another great breakfast spot in Lake Havasu is Roxy’s.
The menu features easy, on-the-go favorites like breakfast burritos, sandwiches, smoothies, and coffee drinks.
Located right next to the iconic London Bridge and technically a part of the London Bridge Resort, Roxy’s Beach Bar & Café is a convenient and scenic stop for a quick, satisfying breakfast or lunch. It has a prime location and very relaxed vibe.
We went to Roxy’s for breakfast and I had an omelet with a side of potatoes and fruit. It was simple, tasty, and exactly what we needed to start a busy day.
But honestly, as good as the food is, it is the views that make this place special. Opt for sitting on the back patio where you can enjoy your food with great views on the channel and London Bridge.
12. Turtle Grille
Located at The Nautical Beachfront Resort, Turtle Grille offers one of the most laid-back dining experiences in town…along with some of the best views!
With its waterfront setting, Turtle Grille is perfect for a casual lunch, tropical drink, or sunset dinner. It’s especially convenient if you’re spending the day at the resort or nearby beaches and want to stay close to the water. Turtle Grille also hosts a great year-round happy hour, with $10 appetizers and $4 drinks.
Final Thoughts: Dining in Lake Havasu
The dining scene in Lake Havasu City offers far more variety than most people expect. As I quickly learned, it’s part of what makes a trip here so enjoyable!
