Hotel Design
Mason Beach Inn recently underwent a complete renovation, and the refreshed look really sets it apart from other budget hotels in Santa Barbara.
With bougainvillea draped pergolas and wrought iron fixtures, Mason Beach Inn’s Spanish architecture is the quintessential style of Santa Barbara. The lobby is elegant yet cozy, with furniture the colors reminiscent of a beach house.
Newly renovated rooms include modern but timeless coastal touches. Navy and white striped walls set the scene; freestanding vanities with light quartz counters sit below brightly lit custom wood sconces.
Bold banana leaf print wallpaper, rattan furniture, and light oak floors are the perfect backdrop for a beachy getaway.
Mason Beach Inn Hotel Rooms
The Mason Beach Inn offers several different types of guest rooms and suites.
Since the hotel recently underwent a complete renovation, rooms are fresh and feature new fixtures and furniture, including pillow top mattresses, fluffy comforters, and 55” flat screen televisions.
All rooms include a Keurig Coffee Maker, while suites additional feature a refrigerator and microwave oven.
We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated that the room was spacious, so we were able to spread out. The sink and vanity are located outside the rest of the bathroom, also making it easier for families to do what they need to do to get ready in the morning or before bed.
Most notable though is the Mason Beach Inn’s fabulous wallpaper! This bold and lovely design really packs a punch in what might otherwise be a pretty basic room.
Final Thoughts: Mason Beach Inn
While it is definitely not the most luxurious hotel in Santa Barbara, Mason Beach Inn is beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and kid-friendly. It boasts outstanding service, and most importantly, is located within easy walking distance to the beach and all of Santa Barbara’s attractions. Our stay was definitely better than anticipated for a three-star hotel!
