With its sandy beach, palm trees, fountains, four distinctive swimming pools, several whirlpools, a lazy river, jogging track, restaurants, beach club, and more, you can easily spend the whole day here.
The lazy river at Mandalay Bay spans a quarter mile. It winds in a relaxing loop, landscaped with palm trees and tropical flowers that will truly put you in vacation travel mode. It has a few waterfalls to cool you down along the way.
Tube rentals are available, and there’s a laid-back atmosphere that’s perfect for couples or families.

The pool area at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino features five swimming pools and a 1,000-foot-long lazy river winding through its 6.5-acre pool complex. Lush landscaping, waterfalls, and shaded cabanas create a resort-like vibe, far from the hustle of the casino floor. You can rent tubes or bring your own, and poolside service keeps drinks and snacks coming.
Keep in mind, because of the hotel’s size (7,000 rooms!) in may take a hot minute to figure out how to best navigate the hotel’s elevators and hallways to get where you need to go. The pool is a long walk from whichever tower you are staying in. Having this many rooms at the resort also means the pool area can get pretty crowded.
Nonetheless, the awesome pools and lazy river at MGM Grand place it near the top of my list of best hotels in Las Vegas for families.

What makes Tahiti Village Resort & Spa different from the Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, and other resorts on the Strip is that is located…off the Strip. More than just location, this speaks to the vibe you will find here. It tends to be much less crowded and chaotic than popular hotels in the heart of Vegas.
Tahiti Village is a timeshare resort that’s especially popular with families and those looking for a quieter, more relaxed Vegas experience. Its 1/8-mile lazy river winds through palm trees and tropical plants, with waterfalls and fountains along the way. It’s heated year-round and ideal for all ages.
You’ll also find a sandy beach area at this resort, a lagoon-style pool, and two whirlpool spas – one for families and one that is adults-only.
You don’t need to own a timeshare or attend a timeshare sales pitch to book a room, although you can also snag a discount if you do. As a California resident, I am constantly seeing ads online and on social media.
