Thinking of staying at the Fairfield Anaheim Resort across the street from Disneyland?
Of all the hotels walking distance to Disneyland, the Fairfield Anaheim Resort – formerly called Fairfield Inn Anaheim – is probably the one we’ve stayed at most. It is located just a block up Harbor Boulevard, or an easy 5 to 10 minute walk to the entrance of the parks.
While not super fancy, it is clean and comfortable and offers all the amenities and service you’d expect from the Marriott brand of hotels. It is the perfect place to call home base on your Disneyland vacation!
Check out this honest review of the Fairfield Anaheim Resort based on our numerous stays for all the details on this popular Disneyland hotel.

Rooms at the Fairfield Anaheim Resort
The hotel feels modern and comfortable, with recently-renovated rooms that include a pull-out sofa bed. You can choose from a king room or two queen beds.
If you are traveling with little kids or just want a bit more of a Disney experience, opt for a Disney-themed premium room on the upper floors. It will cost a bit more, but worth it if you want to feel like you’re on a Disney vacation even after you leave the parks.

We’ve stayed in both a premium room and standard room. Their main difference is basically just the decor.
On our last stay, we were actually upgraded to a premium room just because I am part of the Marriott Bonvoy program. Score!
The upper floors are also the best spot to view the fireworks, but you can go up to watch regardless of where your room is located.

Rooms are located off exterior corridors, which I don’t normally love, but at the Fairfield Anaheim Resort it works! It is nice to be able to step outside your room and be immediately greeted by views of Disneyland and the monorail zipping by. On nights when there are fireworks, you can watch from right outside your room.

At 228 square feet, rooms are on the smaller side, but perfectly furnished with all the basics and plenty of room to not feel squished. Bathrooms have a separate sink area and there is a space to hang clothes, though no separate closet. The beds are very comfortable and feature plush linens.
All the rooms include coffee makers and a fridge. This is great because unfortunately unlike most other Fairfield Inns, this property does not provide free breakfast. (Perhaps the reason they changed the name?)
Pool & Amenities
Fairfield Anaheim Resort has an outdoor pool and hot tub. Though it is located adjacent to the parking lot, it is nicely landscaped and feels secluded. It is not a huge pool, but will definitely do the trick if you just need to cool off or like sitting out by the pool while taking an afternoon break from the parks.

If you have kids who love water slides and playing outside, consider checking out the Courtyard by Marriott Theme Park Entrance. It is located right next door, and has a small water park right on site. But, it will cost significantly more per night. So if a basic pool will do, this Marriott Fairfield meets the mark.
The hotel has a fitness center and game room. You’ll find a small gift shop off the hotel lobby with Disney souvenirs, snacks, and toiletries. You can also buy theme-park tickets and rent strollers and scooters right from the hotel.

Dining Options
Food offerings inside the hotel are limited. The Fairfield Anaheim Resort has a small food court with a Pizza Hut Express and Seattle’s Best Coffee located on the third floor of the hotel. The selection is not huge, but it will do if you’re in a pinch of just need to grab a late night snack or quick breakfast on your way out in the morning.
A better bet is the Panera and McDonald’s located just outside the hotel. (Panera will deliver right to your hotel room!) And of course, you will also find tons of fabulous dining options in Downtown Disney, adjacent to the parks.

Final Thoughts: Fairfield Anaheim Resort
The Fairfield Anaheim Resort is a great choice if you are looking for a Disneyland hotel that is all about comfort and convenience.
In addition to its amazing location across the street from Disneyland, it is also very close to the Anaheim Convention Center. This is definitely one of the top Marriott hotels near Disneyland and a great choice to consider if you are planning a visit to Disneyland.
